Updates from Robin

Wednesday, January 25

Thank you, everyone, for the amazing outpouring of love and support for us since Perry's death. The visits, flowers, cards, emails, and donations for his memorial have meant so much to us. We are doing ... OK. Last week was a blur -- so many friends and family here to hold us up, and so much getting ready for the funeral service. The service was wonderful, touching and meaningful. Peter and Amy (our ministers) are fantastic. Since then, we are OK but struggling. Perry was a big presence, and he has left a big hole. Lots and lots of tears, but some OK times too. Chris has been trying to do a little work the last couple days, and Rosie has spent a couple hours a day at school. In all of it we miss Perry so much. Even in his tough times, he made everything that much happier. We have faith that we will figure out how to go on and find happiness again -- but we are not sure how, or when. What a loss.

Thanks everyone for the amazing support. We are in a fog, trying to figure out how to live our days without Perry. It is not easy, and it won't be easy for some time. We need to let everyone know that we are having problems getting our home email in the past 24 hours. (The email sent through this website is still getting through just fine.) We have also had questions about memorials for Perry. At this point, we plan on doing a memorial at the church and hopefully also one at Lewis & Clark School. In one of the few times he talked about his death, Perry wanted something made out of stone in the church courtyard, and something for the Lewis & Clark playground. We will do our best to honor his requests. So if you wish to take part in a memorial for Perry, please send donations to the Perry Memorial Fund, University Congregational Church, 405 University Ave., Missoula, MT, 59801.
